We are excited to announce that the 2021 Americana Festival will be held on Monday, July 5th.
Showcasing more than 120 units, the parade features numerous bands, floats, mobile and walking units. This year’s parade promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
Food is always a major attraction at the Americana Festival and this year we are going big with the Americana Food Fair and offering many delicacies to appeal to all appetites! A variety of foods will be available, including Chinese, Cajun, Greek, BBQ Ribs, Turkey, Pork Chops, Ice Cream, Shake-ups, Hot Dogs, Kettle Corn, Candy, Fudge, Root Beer Floats, Chocolate Covered Bananas. Foods can be enjoyed at sit-down dining locations, various other locations along the street, or you can stroll Main Street enjoying entertainment and your favorite hand-held foods, snacks and beverages! Opening at approximately 10:00 AM.
Street Fair and Children’s Area Cancelled this Year
Unfortunately, the Americana Festival Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Americana Arts & Craft Street Fair. We made this decision due to extremely low vendor applications. After several consecutive years where we completely sold out all Street Fair vendor spaces, we were sad to see this. The children’s area, which is held in close coordination with the Street Fair, is also cancelled this year. We look forward to seeing you at the other 2021 Americana Festival events and seeing you at next year’s 2022 Americana Street Fair.
The Centerville-Washington Township Americana Festival started in 1972 as a sidewalk sale promoted by the city's downtown merchants. Typically more than 85,000 people will attend the festival and more than 100 volunteers will be working behind the scenes to make it all happen. In 2011 the Festival was the winner of the Best of Dayton Award for 4th of July events. Read more about the Americana Festival.
